Baby Update

So, today Jeremy and I went in for what we thought was our 28 week appointment. Last appointment the baby was measuring big by a couple of weeks- now, he is measuring at 32 weeks! The doctor made me schedule an ultrasound asap so we can find out how big this little guy really is. It would be nice to be given an earlier due date. If it's four weeks from our original date of March 22nd, that would mean he will be born on my birthday, February 21st! We will find out for sure on Monday. I know I keep promising to post pictures and I will...as soon as Jeremy and I can figure out what is wrong with the camera. Just be patient with me. :)

Update

Ok, as promised here is the Klippenstein update. Right now I am currently seven months along. Baby is measuring big by a few weeks, so Jeremy and I are hoping for an earlier due date. We will find out during our next appointment on Dec. 30th. However, it looks like my dreams of having a nice 7 pound baby are out the window. My boss told me it's not like picking out turkeys- I'm gonna get what I get. :)

Life has been flying by with Christmas just around the corner. Thankfully I got most of my Christmas shopping done early this year thanks to 14 hours of shopping on Black Friday. It's a good thing to, because it is getting harder and harder to wrap presents. The baby sits so high that it is nearly impossible to bend or lean over. Jeremy has had to tie my shoes and help me put my socks on for the last several weeks. It's a little ridiculous.

We are so excited for Christmas. It's hard to believe that it is just three days away. We got our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it is perfect. We have had a great time decorating and putting lights up everywhere. I must say, Jeremy is quite the interior decorator. I am very impressed. It's hard to believe that next year we will be celebrating the holidays with a nine month old baby!

*I am having trouble uploading all our photos, so I will have to do it tomorrow at work. It will get done, I promise!

It's a BOY!

So, yesterday Jeremy and I had our "big" ultrasound. We had been counting down for weeks for this day. Our appointment was at 1:00. Jeremy took the day off but I worked a 1/2 day. I wish we would have made our appointment for first thing in the morning because the wait was brutal. I kept glancing at the clock on my computer every ten minutes. Anyway, we got to the doctor and we were the only people there so that was nice. The ultrasound tech was fabulous. She was able to tell us the sex within the first two minutes. Jeremy was so excited. He threw his hands up in the air, pumped his fists and shouted, "I did my job!" I was just a little embarassed. :) We have to go back for another ultrasound in two weeks because our little guy was moving around too much for the technician to take some of the necessary measurements. The technician said he is measuring in the 65th percentile, so I was happy about that. No 10 pound baby for me, thanks! We got a few pictures, including a very clear shot of his "equipment". I will be sure to post those up ASAP. We were also given a dvd of the ultrasound so we are very excited to have that keepsake. After the ultrasound we headed to Bellevue to begin shopping! Jeremy and I cheated and did some shopping before we knew the sex. So the baby already had three outfits and three pairs of shoes. Managing a shoe store, Jeremy could not help himself. Needless to say, I'm glad we don't have to return any of the items we bought since they were all for a baby boy. :) Jeremy went a little crazy in the baby department at Macy's. We finally go to the point where we had to put our hands up and shield our eyes on the walk up to the register, so we wouldn't be distracted. I will definitely be sure to take some pictures of the beginning of our baby's large wardrobe. With Jeremy working so close to Children's Place, Macy's and Baby Gap- we are in trouble!

Wii Fit

Sunday night Jeremy and I went over to Sarah and James' house to play Wii and eat pumpkin pie. They have the new Wii fit and Jeremy and I had never tried it before. I had heard it was really neat. We loved it! In one hour of playing Jeremy lost 1.8 pounds. It was a workout! There was one hula hoop game that Jeremy especially liked and was really good at. We all gave it a shot to see how many times we could hoop in 1 minute 30 seconds. Jeremy won with 300. I didn't even break 100- but, we don't really need to get into that. Thanks to Sarah, there is a great little video on her blog of us hula hooping. Please keep in mind when watching that I am pregnant...

Bowlin' Night

So this Saturday we went out bowling with our closest friends, Keilah/Steve and Sarah/James. We had a really great time. The six of us hadn't been out together in awhile. I actually ended up having a pretty good night of bowling! Maybe it's because I finally was able to get out of the house. I have practically lived on couch the last 2 1/2 months with morning sickness. I don't know why they call it morning sickness- it's more like 24 hour sickness. Anyway, now that the second trimester has hit, I'm starting to feel more like myself. I was actually able to eat some chocolate today for the first time in ten weeks! Oh, it was heaven. So, back to Saturday's festivities- that day I spent over at my parent's house hanging out with my mom and sisters. Jeremy had left earlier that morning with my dad to go watch high school football games at Qwest field. Every week they go watch high school football together with my grandpa. It's a man thing. Jeremy picked me up at 8:45 and we headed to the bowling alley. Keilah had previously arranged a lane for us and had put down a deposit to hold our spot. There was a little bit of drama getting started, but Keilah took care of it. :) So, we bowled for a couple of hours and had a great time. It actually turned into cosmic bowling which Jeremy had never done before, so that was fun. Jeremy and I ended up winning the coveted prize of McDonald's chocolate dipped cones. Jeremy bowls well all the time, but I was so proud I finally scored in the triple digits! Jeremy and I forgot our camera, but here are some pictures from Sarah.

The Klippenstein's are now part of the blogging world!

Ok, after months of constant "Sam, you guys really should start a blog..." we are finally doing it! Sarah is going to be so proud...
With a baby on the way and family spread throughout several states, we figured this was a great way to keep everyone updated on what is going on in our lives. Plus, everyone is doing it!
Married life has been fabulous thus far :). We are expecting a little one to join our family on March 21st and we are ecstatic! Baby was definitely a little sooner than anticipated but we absolutely cannot wait! We will post more soon, so stay tuned!

*Here is a picture from our first ultrasound on 8/18 at 9 1/2 weeks. It was such an awesome experience to watch the little guy/girl dancing and moving around. It's amazing how much you can see so early on. Jeremy likes to call he/her "Stubs" because at that time the little arms and legs were just starting to form. Our friend Joe thinks it looks more like a gummy bear. I would have to agree.
