Dear Family,
I am so sorry it has been so long! Here is what Landon is up to now...
-Almost walking. He can stand up all by himself without using anything to hold onto. He takes a couple of steps everyday. We know he could be walking right now if he really wanted to, but I think it's just not quite as efficient for him as crawling.
-Can say "Ma Ma" and "da da". He also says, "daw!" for "ball". He will pick up the ball, hold it in the air to show us and say, "daw!" He has also started using the sign "all done" when he is finished with his food.
-He is into absolutely EVERYTHING! He especially loves pulling the dvd's off the shelf. Jeremy and I have always tried to say, "Ah, ah, ah" instead of "no!" Landon definitely knows what it means and when he is doing something he shouldn't. Right before he does something naughty, he will look at us and say, "ah, ah, ah" and then proceed to do it. My personal favorite is when he tries to pull the cords on the Xbox or tv and we tell him "ah, ah, ah, no, no" he will turn around, shake his finger at us and say, "ah, ah, ah" right back. He is going to give us a run for our money! :)
-We have taught him how to turn around to climb down the stairs and to get off the couch by himself so we no longer need the baby gate. Hallelujah! This is especially great for me considering I have caught my foot on the gate more times than I can count trying to step over it.
- Sleeps and naps like a dream! 2 2-hour naps a day and an 11-hour stretch through the night. Sleep training has finally paid off!
-Still loves food more than anything! His favorites are mashed potatoes, bread, and fruit of any kind. We've tried chicken, pork and some beef, but he is not a fan of meat. I think it's a texture thing.
-He is the biggest cuddler in the world. When we pick him up, he will squeeze us so tight and lay his head on our shoulder while trying to squeeze our arms with his fingers. He also loves to give out open-mouthed kisses to anyone who will take one.
-Loves, loves, loves books. He would sit on my lap literally all day and read book after book if I let him. His favorite is "Goodnight Gorilla" and any books by Leslie Patricelli.
-He has five teeth now. Three on top and two on bottom.
-Has learned to sign "all done" when he is finished eating. He doesn't do it all of the time, but it makes us smile everytime he tries.
-Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
-Still twirls his hands and feet when he gets really excited.
-Loves to dance whenever he hears music or we say, "shake your booty!"
-Loves to wrestle with daddy. And when daddy isn't around, mommy is the next best thing!
-Still as "sensitive" as ever. Jeremy is working on trying to toughen him up!
He is turning into quite the little man and we just love him more than life!
